During a tearful and passionate speech at his "American Revival" meeting in Salt Lake City on Saturday, Fox News host Glenn Beck revealed that he may be going blind.

During his speech (video below), Beck told the audience, "I can't focus my eyes."

Taking a shot at health care reform, Beck said, "I went to the best doctor I could find, while I could still go to the best doctor I can find."

Beck, 46, says he has been diagnosed with macular dystrophy, and joked that the doctor told him, "You could go blind in the next year . . . or you might not."

    Beck blind. Rush deaf.

There's a joke in there somewhere.

Who's going to lose their voice?

It is a little amusing how this supposedly manly man can hardly go about six minutes without dissolving into another weeping jag.

I don't think I've cried in public in 40 years.

I did once, sort of, about five years ago. Just before the start of a videoteleconference with the commanding general in Baghdad. He started talking about my dad, who had died a week before, and I absolutely lost it.

Does this mean the chalkboard print for Herr Beck will have to get bigger now?

I'm not a fan of Beck, so bash him all you want, but I don't think he's ever sold himself as an "alpha male".

When I've listened to him, he's always making fun of himself for crying.

And, for those of you who missed it when I posted this before, here's Frank Caliendo doing his Beck impersonation -- on Beck's show:

It's very funny. Totally mocks him.

My mother said if I didn't have anything nice to say, don't say anything.

Oh, and Glenn Beck's mother said that if he didn't stop doing that to himself, he'd go blind.

If he is truly losing his sight, I don't want to blast him. However, I wouldn't be entirely shocked if this was a ploy to support his cause.
