    Ah Wicked ...

First off, what S-P said ... taking relationship advice from either he or IJAG is bad, bad news (j/k and hello to both of you ... I'll await the flaming responses and the mail bomb :D).

Take a moment and enjoy all the advantages of being single such as not having to account for yourself so often, the chance to crash Christmas parties and not be responsible for another party. I would venture that by the time you rediscover the fun aspects of the single life, something will happen.

Keep in mind that it's only single advice. For relationship advice, you'd be much wiser to listen to S-P, IJAG or anyone else on this board. Much wiser.

I wish EHarmony would show some of the couples that DIDN'T work out.

Woman: "I joined EHarmony after a bad breakup. My first date showed up half an hour late, had flies buzzing around him and muttered something about Allah and malls at Christmas. Now everytime I start my car I fear for my life. Thanks EHarmony!"

Hey, Sam and spnited, I would never pass myself off as an expert on anything, least of all relationships.

    Trust that.

Freelance, it was a mutual deal, though the way it ended wasn't the best.

It wasn't a serious relationship, and I was single for a while before that. I used that time to try to figure myself out. Still am doing so; aren't we all?

Agree with Frank that you find them when you're not looking. I was just looking for tips where to meet people in general, since I know so few around here. (My town ain't hopping for young, edumacated singles. And I don't dig the double-wide crowd.) All the friends are back home, and I'm an 8-hour drive away.

    wicked, sorry about the news.
i think it was frankridgeway who said it, but i've found the same to be true: the minute i stopped being the mopy, "I need a girlfriend" guy, i found someone.

    weird how that worked.

i'd also second save money, have fun with your buddies and remember what i said to cradlerobber a while back: all women are filthy, lying whores.

I had completely given up on men when I met Doc. That's the only advice I can give. I had quit looking completely and decided I didn't need someone to tie me down. Then, along came Doc, and now I am REALLY tied down and happier than ever.

Is it REALLY right to swing at 50-mph underhanded softballs?

Yeah. Apparently, I like lobbing those softballs out there. I'm used to it by now.

Was teasing of course, sp. :D

By the way, thanks for the words of encouragement, everyone, even people I've pissed off in the past.

I wish Doorgirl were within driving distance right now. Unfortunately, CR pimped her, not me.
