OK, SportsJournalists.com, please give me some names and their sport of people you know or cover that you are pulling for in the next few weeks.

 

Whoever the US athlete was that shouted BABA BOOEY at the cameras just a few minutes ago. That guy rocks.

Belize. The entire country. They only sent three athletes to the games.
-- Kaina Martinez, women's 100 meters
-- Kenneth Medwood, men's 400 meter hurdles
-- Addermys Sanchez, 66 kg Judo

Any one of them, even getting within sniffing distance of a medal would be epic. Plus three people makes it really easy to follow their exploits.

 

I already pull for Croatia and Slovenia, but I do like seeing countries win that rarely win, actually win something.
