    This, and I've seen schools where the cheerleading "coach" is a college kid or someone in her first couple years out of school. The age factor (too young to remember the horror of 9/11) could come into play there, too.

    The real crime here is doing a routine to that wretched Lee Greenwood song.

    Reading the article a little closer, it sounds like this school regularly does this; every year since 2002 in fact. The cheer coach also performed this routine when she was at the high school.
