First 5 minutes indicates this could turn out to be the best thing ESPN has ever done

I got $50 on the Colts.

Jesus ... blacked out in New York?

This is great. And frankly, they could only cut to Art Donovan and Michael Strahan and I'd be happy. Those two and the game footage could carry the broadcast with ease.

Very few pro games sold out in those days. They said only 64,000 showed up for this, so there were about 12,000 empty seats at least? The owners feared no one would come if the games were available on local TV.

Maury Povich was the radio guy's spotter. That's kind of an interesting tidbit. And also Don Manyard kneeling with the opening touchback and Frank Gifford saying he was fighting with Sam Huff over a full share for Jack Kemp, so there were even two future AFL stars on the Giants' roster.

    What station is this on?

Edit: Never mind. I didn't see ESPN in Boom's post. Duh. We don't get ESPN up here

I wonder if Raymond Berry ever carried a Glock in his waist band when he went out on the town.

This has been great so far.

This is completely beside the point, and ignoring the obvious joke, but considering Glock was only founded in 1963, probably not.

Too bad I wasn't on the Colts in '58. I would have thrown that game, too.
