Gettysburg (History Channel's Civil War Week)

    A for-profit cable history channel chasing cheap, lowest common denominator programming in search of ratings? Sounds like a good argument for a fully funded PBS.

    There has to be a happy medium between the pretentious Ken Burns and The Swamp Hunters.

    I turned out of Pawn Stars a while ago. Hard Core Pawn is better (IMHO). The family owns a pawn shop on 8 mile in Detroit.

    Swamp people has a disclaimer that says "This is how people have been hunting alligators for 300 years" or some such.

    Let's see. Someone who should know better making inflammatory statements just to sell books or less educated cretins buying into it without thought. Tough call.
