Getting rid of that bloated feeling

Need some good over the counter advice. I've tried antacid pills even laxative pills but I still have a bloated feeling in my gut. It's as if its filled with air and I haven't had a good night's sleep, which is rare, for the past few days.
I've been trying to watch what I eat and it doesn't matter if its a piece of fruit or a subway sandwich, I still get that bloated airy feeling. Any good suggestions?
And please keep the stupid stuff off the thread. I'm really not feeling myself and need some sound advice here. Perhaps there are
other who have gone or are going through this as well.

Nexium is pretty good. I tried Prilosec and had no luck.

And if the over the counter stuff doesn't work, it wouldn't hurt to see a doctor. My wife had a long period of feeling bloated, then the pain came, then the gall bladder was removed. Now all is well.
