    TBF, don't be afraid of drywall. As long as you've got a helper to assist with moving those things, it's not difficult to hang and mud. I love doing seam work. Very satisfying.

    An option would be to hire out the framing of the closet, then finish it yourself. That's what we did in our den, which was originally a one-car garage in our house.

    If you're going to drywall a ceiling, RENT A DRYWALL LIFT!

    It's like having a partner. Only the unlike a partner, the lift doesn't get tired and doesn't bitch.

    And remember, drywall the ceiling first and work your way down the walls.

    The remodel is officially complete. Well, it's been complete for a few days, but we'd been searching for a suitable mirror. After the mirror, a new wastebasket and some new sink lines, we came in at just under $500.

    Oh, well. I couldn't make the link work.
