A person can support the war by providing for soldier's families needs.
But a sports journalist won't stand up for the legitimacy of the gay games as a major national sporting event, nor will they march in the community Gay Pride parade. Not one of you has said you would.

Your entire premise is fucked up.

We PREFER that those making DECISIONS about whether we go to war have SOME FUCKING IDEA about what war really is. Especially if they appear to be HELL-BENT on war as a first resort instead of a last report.

Which has zero similarity to your premise.

So how many gay pride parades have you marched in or attended?

    Zero.

So you don't prefer to show your support for gay rights?

I am for a closeted Gay Games

I also support the war but don't support the troops.

Maybe, Yawn, that's because the gay games are not a major sporting event.

I like hamburgers, but I don't go to congress rallying on behalf of ranchers.

I believe in public TV and radio, but I don't work the telethon.

We all believe in plenty of things without actively advocating for them. You pick your causes, and most people pick those that affect them most closely on a personal level.

    I'm confused.

Why do I need to march in a Gay Rights parade to say I support gay rights?
I haven't participated in any anti-war demonstrations either (at least not since the 70s).
None of this makes a bit of sense.

If it's on my ballot, I will support.

    Any other questions?
