    I'm thinking back to the Clemens return. Most males in the booth would have been as gushy.

    Oh, I know.

    I don't mean to actually defend her.

    She's bad. She's over the top. She's a shill. Her voice can be irritating and she gets too emotional.

    It'll be interesting to see how things change now with the Boss gone.

    George wanted homers & rewarded loyalty. (Guys like Kaat & Kubek were not appreciated in the way they should have been.)

    I get why George had folks like Waldman & Sterling on the payroll. Will Hal let people like them go out on their own terms, get rid of them, or embrace them as his own?

    I understand that a measure of homerism is part and parcel of being
    a team's handpicked lead announcer -- but you've got to get shit right.

    In terms of males in the broadcast booth these days, H. Moskowitz
    is about as "gushy" as they come.
