    Surely you've figured out this corner of the Internet by now. There are no sacred cows. This has been serious for weeks, on the verge for years, almost a Kosovo-type situation. The shooting and bombing has only started in the last 36 hours.

    Absolutely is. The soldiers are marching into Georgia with a banner of cuddly ol' Misha bear on it: "We come in peace."

    I don't think anyone finds the situation funny, but on this board, how could you not expect jokes about Russia involving the state east of Alabama?
