    George Carlin dead is still funnier than about 60 percent of comedians alive.

    It's a young crowd here. Those that belong on the list from a previous generation either get forgotten or left off "because they haven't been funny in 20 years."

    The true (albeit impossible) test is to take Carlin's seven words out of EVERYBODY's repertoire and see how well everyone holds up. I think without that crutch the Rickles and Newhart routines would hold up much better than what you hear today.

    I cannot even imagine something that Carlin would have been afraid to say while he was alive, but knowing that we get one more book from him is the best news I've heard all day.
