Can someone tell me WHY this is such a push-button topic now?

That has been around for several years. Why is it such a topic on both the Democratic and Republican presidential debates?

I didn't know it was a "push-button" topic these days, but since you asked.

Retired general John Shalikashvili -- the man who pushed "don't ask, don't tell" -- changed his mind earlier this year on the policy, and it has bubbled back to the surface.

Maybe the candidates are SportsJournalists.com lurkers who read your ass-fucking epic and as a result are rethinking their positions on the issue.

    Nothing was made up.
Now as for Gays in the military, I don't see what the problem is.

Mr. Reed says he served in the 82nd as a commo platoon leader. He, by association, has served in an infantry unit, so I'm calling bullshit on this observation.

Not saying I disagree with him, but just calling bullshit on this observation.
