Gay Talese: "What I Read"

Yeah Bloom's re-reading list is hardly a surprise and hardly a reason for mockery. For that, Ron Rosenbaum offers up plenty in The Shakespeare Wars.

One of the oddest Talese pieces, actually a chapter, is his section in his memoir on the Bobbit case. It's pretty fascinating although ultimately I ended up agreeing with Tina Brown that it was a story probably best left unpublished.
