    No need to take shots. The point is, a long-time, popular writer has fallen victim to the suckitude of the industry.
     
  2. It was a shot, but underneath, there's a fair criticism. Probably a bigger statement about Adams' show than anything else. Either way, yes, major suckitude.

    Don't think of it as a shot; I like to consider it a violent backhanded compliment.
    I have a feeling a lot of the older writers that cover the major sports in the greater Boston area are going to be downsized and a big part of the reason it's them is their refusal to get back on the prep beat.

    Not relevant. Lenny frequently covered preps. They simply wanted to dump his salary. Employers aren't going to tell older writers that they can hang on if they agree to cover preps. It's all about cutting expenses, not about what they cover.
