Gatehouse ousts Megliola

Lenny Megliola, something of a Boston area institution as a longtime columnist for the MetroWest Daily News (Framingham) , has apparently been laid off by Gatehouse Media (http://medianation.blogspot.com/). The move was one of several taken by the failing company.
Lenny worked for that paper for at least 40 years, I believe.
That paper has already lost its pro hockey and football writers, I believe, and is now operating with part-timers, stringers and a full-time sports editor.
According to media blogger Dan Kennedy, there are more moves to be made by Gatehouse.

Wish he would have kept his job in print because it would keep him off the airwaves. What Megs and Mike Adams do weeknights is an abortion of sports talk radio.
