    We're discussing journalism here. Not my fault narrative journalism is the lightning rod it is on these boards.

    Remember that Frasier episode where he has to fill in for the comedy guys, and he starts talking about The New Yorker?

    I never watched "Frasier." I only watch HBO and, very occasionally, AMC.

    Who are the "longform gods?"

    What did they do, collectively, to enhance the genre?
