    My late father used to call the SI bonus piece the "Saturday morning crapper piece."
    In honor of my dad, who died 43 years ago this month, I just read it.

    I would have told the Air Force Academy to shove it up their asses but that's just me.

    Posnanski is a terrific writer. Great hire. SI's gain is Kansas City's loss, though he will continue to live there.

    I honestly stop and read everything Posnanski does on the web site or in the mag itself even if I don't think I will be interested. He just makes it good without going over the top. He still has an everyman quality to his writing that some of the other SI writers have lost.

    I've always liked his stuff but with SI there have been times that I've felt he is in the tank for the topic he was writing about. For example defending BCS.
