Garrard to be Jags starting QB; Leftwich to be released or traded

    I don't think so. In fact, Leftwich's "problem" is he has no mobility whatsoever. Pretty much like Culpepper when he came back too soon to play in Miami.
    But the timing of the move is the strangest part of the decision. Yeah, let's wait until the week before the regular season to dump our starter. I don't get it.

    My first instinct was that KC was going to make a run at Leftwich. After all, they have Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle -- a project -- on the roster.
    Instead of going after Leftwich, though, they sign a guy Minnesota drafted in the seventh round and then tried to get on the practice squad.
    Seems to me KC is already throwing in the towel (again) for this season.
