I'm glad that you think that making fun of the handicap is perfectly normal adult behavior

I am one who believes David Garrard is a solid QB who has played on awful teams for most of his career. I also think it's very stupid of Jacksonville to throw in the towel in that division. It might be like the NFC West of last year.

He's at least better than Tavaris Jackson and Alex Smith, right? Would he make either Seattle or San Fran the favorite in the NFC West?

You're assuming Seattle and San Fran are trying to win games this season.

I agree with this. You lose games, you get Luck. And SF fans would love that.

Figure it out fast if you want to stay here long. Life is better when you use your brain, too.

There's a lot of teams that are going ot engage in Suck for Luck this year, even some that don't need a QB.

    Buffalo
    Cincinnati
    Jacksonville
Indianapolis (OK maybe not but they're going to fall off the cliff)
    Denver
    Carolina
    Seattle
    San Francisco

December is going to be fugly as teams try to outsuck one another for the #1 draft pick.

In fairness, the guy created a separate thread about a fifth-tier NFL quarterback being released. We can't expect him to exercise good judgment all the time.

Dave is a great guy...knew him well in college. I wouldn't be surprised to see him emerge as a backup in Tampa for a year and then move on somewhere else. His college coach, Steve Logan, is on the staff in Tampa and they're still great friends...and Dave and Freeman are very similar.

Seattle didn't try too hard to throw games last year when it would have served them better than one-and-done in the playoffs.

I don't think Garrard is a bad QB, just average. Rather have him than Kerry Collins. Wonder if the Jags waited to release him until the Colts signed Collins.

I can't see Carolina trying to be that bad after they just spent the #1 on Newton. Not that they won't get there organically, but I don't see them making that kind of effort.

I can also see Oliver Luck pulling an Archie Manning and keeping his son away from half of the teams on that list.
