Gannett exits Hawai'i, selling Honolulu Advertiser to Star-Bulletin

    And I'm selfishisly hoping that the talented and classy Ann Miller is among the fortunate few.

    True, but I can't see how the split would justify the advertising, unless it was sort of a "company town".

    There are around 1.2 million people in the state of Hawaii ... about 900,000 of them live in Honolulu County (basically, the island of Oahu). And since there is little news about the state carried in national papers unless a big disaster hits, that's a pretty sizable captive audience.
