Figured this might be most appropriate for this board. Here's a recent posting on JJobs.com:

"....We’re seeking an enterprising business reporter to who has experience using data and databases to bolster the context of their stories. Investigative experience also desired. This reporter will think new media, eager to break news on our website and bring a flair for good writing to Page 1A and the Sunday and daily Business sections of our newspaper. On the multimedia front, this reporter should be prepared to do podcasts, collect audio interviews, work with videographers and appear on television with the local ABC affiliate as needed.

A great sign of the quality of our journalism and our passion for covering our community in upstate New York was reported on Feb. 12, 2008, by Editor & Publisher. Of the 81 largest areas in the nation, we are No. 1 in penetration. Data collected by Scarborough Research through September 2007 showed that 79 percent of adults in our market read the printed version of the Democrat and Chronicle during the past week. When coupled with democratandchronicle.com, we reach 81% of the Rochester market on a weekly basis. Our print circulation is 152,605 daily and 202,931 on Sundays.

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or equivalent experience. Two or more year’s experience as a journalist. Web and multimedia experience required.

Interested? Please contact Neill Borowski, managing editor, Democrat and Chronicle, 55 Exchange Blvd. Rochester, NY 14614, email jobs@democratandchronicle.com and nborowsk@democratandchronicle.com. ...."

Sounds like the ladies of the Rochester area should know where to go to when they want to be caressed with objective content.

Seems unlikely, since Gannett is all about keeping it short.

Not the size of the waves, but the motion of the ocean. At least that's what Craig Dubow likes to say.

I'm aware, but just wanted to make a joke. Maybe start a humorous conversation. Maybe even talk about other papers who are tops at this. Who knows?
