More Middle Eastern than black. Hopefully this isn't too spoiler-y, but I've seen Naveen Andrews (Sayid from "Lost") mentioned as a possibility for the part of the Red Viper. (Which would be awesome, IMHO.)

 

Why won't BET let Tyler Perry write a Game of Thrones for Minority (Black) people?

Ho yeah, it would suck

 

It's hard not to notice how all of the slaves are not white skinned.

Then again, I have no idea why everyone on this show talks with a vaguely British accent.

 

British actors work cheaper than American actors and less make up is needed to look forelorn and in desperate need of dentistry.

But your average Westerosian peasant isn't faring much better than slaves.

Besides, Westeros has a remarkable resemblence to the British Isles, with Winterfell playing the part of Scotland

 

The producers are clearly prejudiced against nonBritish accents.
