    From Ebert:
Game of Thrones is good at all three.

I'll preface it by saying, George R.R. Martin's psychologist likely earns every penny.

But artisticly, the cinematography is fantastic, especially as the budget has grown. The battle scenes in recent seasons are some of the best ever filmed. The depth of the universe created to tell the story is astounding. Much of the acting is great. The casting people deserve a lot of credit for finding people to play the Stark kids. The characters have depth and nuance. The heroes have flaws, the villains are products of their environment. Jaime's arc is fascinating.

As for being good porn, well, I was kinda joking, but those parts can certainly be enjoyable. You can talk about how perverted and deranged it all is, but many of the most horrific instances are pulled from history.

It's not a perfect show or the best on TV, but it's well done.

The author alternates between whining about the emotional immaturity of our culture and dismissing complex literature that addresses the darkness in humanity as well as the light. That man desperately needs to get over himself.

Best thing about GoT? Lena Dunham has never been on it.

Plus, it took six seasons to come to this conclusion? He likes the show, but knows bashing it is click bait.

GoT is a fascinating show because its never afraid to go against convention. Characters are killed off left and right while the show keeps chugging along. Sean Bean was the star the first season and I couldn't believe that he was killed at the end of the season; who does that? I thought.

The political plays and back-stabbing are interesting as well.

As for the porn, yeah, the incest and other scenes are a bit much but are certainly not the primary driving forces to me.

You know, the use of sexposition in the early seasons was brilliant as well.

"Here is a long monologue filled with information you need to know, but we realize you're likely to check out a little at this point. So, here. Tits. Now pay attention."

He watched six full seasons of the show.

He's uncool because he arrived at an opinion that doesn't praise the show?

No, there are plenty of valid criticisms to make. He's uncool because he writes an entire column complaining about nerd culture taking over, yet he comes off like the comic book guy from The Simpsons.
