Had a $100 risk-free play and took Wichita State to win instead of the +2.5. Looked OK when they were up by 12 in the first half ... then up by 12 again in the second half ... argh. Shoulda just played the under and put my feet up.

Betting against someone or something. Ex: Fading Mick Cronin at tournament time is the original stimulus package.

I obviously can’t bet the Texas Southern ML again, but the Tigers have been good to me this tournament season.

Sweet three-leg hit today... Colorado -5.5, UNCG +10.5, LSU -2. $25 to win $152+. The Greensboro game was the one I had to sweat out. Oof.

popped my cherry on my first middle today. Had a 3 dog parlay with the points, including Rutgers as the last game.

Took Houston +3.5 in the second half as well. I like it.

Sister Jean and Buddy Boeheim ruined my parlay ... and that missed layup at the end of Tech-Arky killed me. Game probably goes to OT and I get my over if it sinks. Then Rutgers-Houston goes over by two freaking points. Thankfully that faithful Oregon State ML was there to salvage something.

When the day comes soon where everyone and their Aunt Millie can wager on their smartphone at home, will casinos start ripping out sports books to free up the floor space?

We can do it on our smartphones anywhere in the state -- but casinos here still built some nice, albeit not overly huge, sports books.

There's still some value (in non-COVID times at least) to sitting in a Vegas casino watching all of the games in front of you with others. But Hollywood Casino in Charles Town, W. Va.? Yeah, I can see that going away.

Today's parlay, BTW ... Iowa-Oregon over (check), Gonzaga -8.5 first-half spread (sweated a bit, but check), Abilene Christian to cover 5 (go Wildcats!)

If a casino will rip out space to put in more slot machines (especially penny slot machines), they absolutely will.
