Toronto is now a heavily fortified ghost town with the G20 (and G8) talks to start today.
One billion dollars to put this show on and it's effectively shut down the largest city in Canada.

Bill Clinton is pissed the G20 was never held in Toronto in the 90s.

Normally this one of the busiest streets in the centre of Toronto's financial district.

My office is next to one of the Pearson flight paths and I see dozens of planes arriving and departing every day. But this morning jets have been flying over the office, maybe Obama is on his way.

One of my colleagues saw a couple of couple of camouflaged tanks out by the airport on her way in this morning.....about the same place where that Air France plane crashed. That service road around the airport--which is how we usually get to your rink, is, well, closed this weekend.

That's the kind of revenue windfall that usually only comes with hosting the Olympics.

Infield terminal (mainly used for cargo) is also effectively closed. All carriers are expecting delays as a result of the VIP coming in.

Our airport guy just came back from the infield, proudly waving his security pass. :)

See, I told you soccer wasn't that big in Canada. Only seven people are watching the game.

They can't be real fans. No car flags. (Anyone living in the GTA will know what I mean.)

Its why I said "effectively". If you are one time shipper, forget about it.

What roads - if any - are closed around the airport? Airport? Dixon?
