The thing that makes it such a great deal for countries "hosting" multi-nationals is that they get some money and the companies leave a minimal, if any footprint. Mailboxes and offices don't polute and the few employees on hand don't require or use many government services. It's like free money.

When he appeared on the Planet Money podcast a while ago, he mentioned that his next book would be on places like Greece, Ireland, Iceland, etc. I'm really looking forward to it.
