Furniture Delivery, tip question

Discussion in 'Anything goes' started by Rickys The Best, Sep 19, 2007.

  1. Having some furniture delivered today; the first time I'm having new furniture delivered as opposed to picking it up or buying used.

Am I supposed to tip the delivery men, who work for the company? I already paid a handsome amount to have it delivered, but I'm not sure protocol here. And how much should I tip if I do? Any help would be nice.
    Thanks

Most furniture companies don't let their employees receive tips...

I didn't tip the guys that brought mine. I just offered them something cold to drink.

I gave the guys that delivered my stuff each a soda and $20 to split. It was really hot, they had to carry the stuff up stairs and worked roughly a half-hour.
