Well, he went down to dinner in his Sunday best
    Excitable boy, they all said
And he rubbed the pot roast all over his chest
    Excitable boy, they all said
Well, he's just an excitable boy

He took in the four a.m. show at the Clark
    Excitable boy, they all said
And he bit the usherette's leg in the dark
    Excitable boy, they all said
Well, he's just an excitable boy

And he took little Suzie to the Junior Prom
    Excitable boy, they all said
And he raped her and killed her, then he took her home
    Excitable boy, they all said
Well, he's just an excitable boy

And after ten long years they let him out of the home
    Excitable boy, they all said
And he dug up her grave and built a cage with her bones
    Excitable boy, they all said
Well, he's just an excitable boy

I just heard a Nerdist podcast interview with the legendary Dr. Demento, and I was reminded of the evil genius of Ogden Edsl, particularly "Kinko the Clown" and "Dead Puppies."

    (Kinko)

    (Dead Puppies)

I won't post the lyrics for the benefit of the squeamish. I will say that Dead Puppies is especially notable for the big, pipe-organ driven ending. It's truly epic.

  4. Great thread, other than it should be called Funny Lyrics from Bands Not Named Bloodhound Gang Hall of Fame. Wordy, to be sure. But the Gang are kings of this castle.

From the Gang's "Lift your head up high (and blow your brains out):"

"Life is short and hard like a bodybuilding elf."

Rhett Miller has always had a way with words. This verse from "House That Used To be" always makes me smile:

I must be dumber than a spit curl
'cause I got hung up on a showgirl
    Now I look like I'm a scarecrow
I might as well go on a talk show
