True. I was also making a subtle dig at how podunk Atwater is. That place is deep in the heart of cow country California.

 

Uh, yeah, but I got my start there, so always have a soft spot for it.

I suppose my best move at this time would be not to mention it's a few miles from the heart of California's sweet potato capital, Livingston? And I spent many a summer coverint the Atwater-Livingston Yams American Legion baseball team?

 

It's like how much more awesome could this post be? The answer is none. None more awesome

 

I need a ruling. Which is more podunk: Atwater or Alpaugh? I've had teams who played against both schools and I'm not sure which one would be more likely to be dropped in the Midwest and not miss a beat.

 

Alpaugh. Atwater does have the iconic water tower just past the center field fence, but loses points for having a Wal-Mart.
If we're talking about this on Friday night, we all need lives. Or more alcohol.
