I know it's mentioned in the Week 1 NFL thread, but I thought it deserved one of its own...

CLEVELAND (AP) — Browns starting quarterback Charlie Frye, benched before halftime in the season opener, was traded to Seattle for an undisclosed draft pick on Tuesday, a stunningly swift move as Cleveland clears the way for rookie Brady Quinn.
The teams have an agreement in place, said a person familiar with the negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal was not finalized.
Frye was dealt less than 48 hours after playing poorly and being pulled in the second quarter by coach Romeo Crennel for backup Derek Anderson in the Browns’ 34-7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Frye, who made 13 starts last season and five as a rookie in 2005, beat out Anderson during a drawn-out competition that began during the offseason and carried through training camp and the preseason.
The Browns are also expected to sign quarterback Ken Dorsey, cut 10 days ago by the club, to a one-year contract.

    They're bringing Dorsey back
Them other QBs can't avoid a sack
Ken's a special type of quarterback
Turn us around and pick up the slack.

Take em' to the end zone!

    [Bridge]

    Ken Dorsey
    Avoid the tacklers
    Baby you amaze
Whip up on the Bengals when they misbehave
Derek and Charlie can't make us feel this way

    Take em' to the playoffs!

    [Chorus]

    Come here, Ken
Go ahead, be gone with it
    Come on, quarterback
Go ahead, be gone with it
    MVP
Go ahead, be gone with it
    Drinks on me
Go ahead, be gone with it
Let me see what you're working with
Go ahead, be gone with it
    Look at those tight ends!
Go ahead, be gone with it
    You make me smile
Go ahead, be gone with it
    Go ahead child
Go ahead, be gone with it
    And get your touchdown on
Go ahead, be gone with it
    Get your touchdown on
Go ahead, be gone with it

    [X6]
    Get your sexy on

    They're bringing Dorsey back
Them other QBs don't know how to act
Come on, Ken, make up for the things they lack
Cause we're burning up I gotta get it fast
Take em' to the end zone

    [Bridge]

    [Chorus]

    They're bringing Dorsey back
Tell Charlie Frye to get his bag packed
Now all you Steelers better watch your back
Cause he'll burn it up for us and that's a fact
    Take em' to the playoffs!

The race to the bottom begins in the Dawg Pound.

And guess who owns the Brownies' No. 1 pick next year?

The odds of Darren McFadden wearing a star on his head next year just went up.

At this rate, Phil Savage could be as despised as Art Modell is in Cleveland. If it hasn't happened already ...

    *sigh*

He goes from starting quarterback to traded... that's happened before.

How do you spend six weeks of preseason practice and four preseason games then decide he is your starting QB only to cut him two days after the opener?

    Christ.

Don't worry, Dawg. Well, worry, because this was a no-brainer. Brady should have been the starter. It's just like Notre Dame starting Clausen. You could tell Charlie Weis wanted to say "well, because we suck".

Quinn will take his lumps but I think he'll be a decent NFL QB.

    They can always make room.

All of this goes back to the ineptness at the very beginning of the franchise. It has often been said that the poor choices made in those first few seasons would take years to undo. Of course, it doesn't help when even more poor choices are made.

The Browns of my youth seem like lifetime away. In a way, I wish they never came back.

Tim Couch set the Browns back five years before they even played a game.

So are they thinking about bringing Kosar back?

    Or maybe Brian Sipe?

LSU defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey would make a lot more sense.

Actually, trading down for two top picks and restocking the WRs with the picks would make the most sense. Owens and Glenn will hang it up, when the two news ones are ready to take over.
