    Yeah, you need a jump.

    Sorry, I didn't clarify.

Tried it with a jump even. Click click click. No turn over.

    How cold is it?

A completely frozen battery can't be boosted. I would hazard a guess that this may be the one area that I have more expertise than some others given that I grew up in a god foresaken frozen wasteland.

If you can, take the battery inside overnight or for a few hours and let it warm up to room tempature. Once it is warmed up put it back in and try starting/boosting the car.

    That'd be my guess.

I'd try what Chet said and thaw the battery.

But if it isn't turning over, the problem's electrical. If it turns over and still won't start, then you might have fuel line trouble.

There is an AutoZone nearby -- they charge a car battery for free. I'll have them do it this afternoon and see if it's a battery problem.

I KNEW I should have gotten a ride instead... and left my car in our garage...

    Thanks.

In Yakutsk they just leave 'em running all the time in winter.

Of course, the high there is minus-37 tomorrow.

I remember always being sure I had a full tank of gas in my car when there would be a bitterly cold night.

My suggestion would be to move to Florida.

Just bring it inside and throw it in the fire. That'll do it. ;D

You would in the UP. Especially around Michigan Tech area. Well, unless you use a engine heater.

But, yea, I've never had a problem in the LP.
