From those who brought you the Iraq War, just hand over the blank check

Is anyone watching these C-SPAN hearings? (and for those on this board squealing for hearings yesterday, here they are). Anyway, every question Paulson gets asked he says no. Can we give you less money at first and see how it works? No. Can we put in some protections for the American taxpayer paying the bill? No. We just need this blank check and we need it now and stop asking all these damn questions.

OK, I know I'm a conspiracy theorist but is this their back-door funding for the war in IRAN?

So the Bushies are going to hold our economy hostage so they can get their war.

    Outstanding.

    It's just OBVIOUS.

Paulson can choke on his own phlegm. And his Wall Street playmates can choke on one another.

For the price of the bailout, the government could give every household in the United States $233,000.
You want to talk about an economic stimulus check.
Or for about 10 billion dollars the government could forgive almost all the student loans in the country.
Or simply send a check for $30,000 to every house with instructions to deposit it into savings or spend it in 30 days. Or forfeit the check.
That would put the economy into overdrive and just let AIG fail.

That was in the cards for years, since we're stuck in Iraw for the foreseeable . . . "mission accomplished", kids.
