    . . . The Krispy Kreme Cheeseburger.

    Unreal.

A donut sliced in half, a burger patty and a slice of cheese. And yes, you can add chocolate covered bacon.

If I was closer, I'd drive there to try it out.

The Boondocks did this a few years ago in the episode called the Itis, I always wanted to try one.

Granddad: I present to you, the Luther. A full pound burger patty covered in cheese. Grilled onion, five strips of bacon, all sandwiched between…
    Riley: (in amazement) Two donuts.
Granddad: Two Krispy Kreme donuts. It's called the Luther because it was supposed to have been invented by Mr. Luther Vandross himself.
    Huey: Luther Vandross is dead.
Granddad: And, what's your point? Hmm?

Had the chocolate covered bacon a couple of years ago at the MN State Fair and liked it.

Think Rosie posted here she didn't agree.

The burger..I don't know if I'd do that.

Wasn't this burger being served at a minor league ballpark two years ago?

I think you're right, Headbutt. Either way, it's not a new idea.

It's a great idea, just not new.

I've heard of a place in Georgia (I want to say it's near the town where Lewis Grizzard grew up, but not sure) that has the Luther Vandross burger on its menu. They also supposedly offer something called "The Hamdog," which is a hot dog wrapped in ground beef ... then deep-fried.

    I'd try that. Once.

Yeah, I just googled it, but everything I saw said it closed in 2006.
