Charleston-Mattoon is south of Champaign.

There is no civilization in Illinois east of Champaign.

 

We can agree on that. It's God forsaken.

 

Common ground found, just outside of Homer.

 

And the greater Charleston-Mattoon metro area is no great shakes, either.

 

The EIU bar-crawl scene is pretty fun at times.

 

Ah the EIU bar-crawls. I made those rounds many a time. I tend to stick to Marty's or Ike's when I return to campus now. Too old to make the whole loop anymore.

 

Marty's seems to lose its liquor license every six months. I liked Styx when I used to go, but I understand it's undergone new ownership and a name change. I remember Stu's used to let people in on their Panther Card.
