Top 10 favorite. Best of all-time is a near impossible list to come up with, because I doubt anyone has seen every movie...

    Your top ten.

    Your favorite, I guess.

    Hell, write two lists.

Looking back, I wish I could have found a spot for the Blues Brothers, Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Revenge of the Nerds, The Lost Boys, Rocky III, Batman Begins, Apocalypse Now The First 45 Minutes of Full Metal Jacket, Born on the Fourth of July, etc.

All right, I'll play. Top 10 favorite, not in any order.

    Batman Begins
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
    V for Vendetta
    The Shawshank Redemption
    Braveheart
    Saving Private Ryan
    Casino Royale
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
    Cool Hand Luke
Once Upon a Time in Mexico (the very reason I asked about 10 best or 10 favorite)

    Can I go to 11?
If so, One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest

    How about 12?
How the fuck could I forget Slap Shot?

  7. Very disappointed nobody else threw out a little love for Tombstone.

From the AFI list, I would choose these, in approximately this order:

    "2001: A Space Odyssey"
    "Citizen Kane"
    "The Godfather 1 (& 2)"
    "Rear Window"
    "Casablanca"
"The Lord of the Rings (Trilogy)"
    "Do the Right Thing"
    "Raiders of the Lost Ark"
    "Blade Runner"
    "The Wizard of Oz"

Just thought of another which I don't think has been mentioned yet, but would have to fit in somewhere on my 10:

    "Being There."

Now, get this, honky. You go tell Raphael that I ain't taking no jive from no Western Union messenger.

  10. Without a doubt, my personal top 10:

    1. American History X (Ed Norton is amazing and no, I'm not a neo-Nazi. The opposite, which is why you won't see Mel Gibson on this list.)
    2. Forrest Gump (I bawl like a child every time I see it)
    3. Back to the Future (What a mind-fuck)
    4. Wedding Crashers (Most enjoyable time I've ever had at a movie)
    5. Knocked Up (Second most enjoyable time I've had at a movie)
    6. Crash (Wow.)
    7. Love Actually (Say what you want, but a great flick)
    8. Rounders (Norton, Damon, Malkovich, Turturro -- all amazing. The chick, not so much. I hate her)
    9. Varsity Blues (For a high school football player in the 90s, this movie pumped you up like no other)
    10. Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (Whenever it's on, I have to watch it.)

  11. Damnit, I need room for V for Vendetta and Batman Begins...this is too hard...

It's fun psychoanalyzing some of my fellow posters based on their choices.
