Happy Friday, everyone. Here's a mix of sports, history, music, etc., for those who care to play. We'll be checking back in regularly, except between 3-4 p.m. EDT, and will have all the final answers by 7 p.m. EDT. Good luck.

    1. Who started games against four former Cy Young award winners in one post-season, going 3-0?
ANSWER: Sterling Hitchcock, of the 1998 Yankees, who started playoff games against Randdy Johnson, Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine and David Cone.

    2. Who was/is Walden Cassotto?
ANSWER: That is the birth name of the late, great Bobby Darin.

    3. What U.S. state capital city was originally know as Edwinton?
ANSWER: It is Bismarck, N.D. (Didn't think a GMOO grad could be that smart!)

    4. Who are the last two non-BSC schools to defeat LSU at Tiger Stadium?
ANSWER: Yes, UAB in 2000 and Houston in 1999. I actually thought it was Colorado State, a game I remember, and didn't realize there had been losses since then.

    5. Who was the last pitcher in the 20th century with 20 wins and 20 base hits in the same season?
ANSWER: Mike Hampton, 1999; 22 wins, 23 hits.

    BONUS QUESTIONS:
    1. What was the general's aide-de camp told to be on the lookout for?
ANSWER: Mohammad's lamp, from the Warren Zevon song, "Mohammad's Radio."

    2. What do the protagonist in the Gordon Lightfoot song, "Old Dan's Records" and Mayberry sheriff Andy Taylor have in common?
ANSWER: They both had an Aunt Bea. (Sang Lightfoot: "I remember my aunt Bea, she danced with Dan 'till 2 or 3. ..."

    4- 2000 UAB and 1999 Houston.

Thought about being a smartass and saying BSC had never beaten LSU at Tiger Stadium, but didn't.

    Oh wait... just did. Crap.

I can't believe I got it right. It was a stab in the dark. I feel like Peter Griffin on "Wheel of Fortune."

Not Livian. You may know this guy, but then again he could just be another stranger on a train.

Micro....not a GMOO grad. I'm officially a UNA grad, but I had more fun at GMOO. Not even close. If I could switch the name on the diploma, I would. :)
