Well, then there's going to be some change from the pilot. Because the pilot was very much about the game. Last 20 minutes WERE the game.

Like I said, I liked it, but I have my doubts about its mass appeal.

It's supposed to be about West Texas football and it is/was taped in Austin... I call bullshit. I'm sure this won't matter to many, but having seen West Texas football, it's gonna be real hard to watch knowing there ARE NO TREES in West Texas

Just watched it in parts over on nbc.com and I enjoyed it.
I'll try to watch it when I'm not working.

I'm struggling with the fact that it's actually on Tuesdays. I understand that they'd lose a decent chunk of their target audience by going up against actual prep football. For me, it's like having Saturday Night Live on Wednesday mornings.

I was going to talk about the pilot since it seems some of us have already watched it, but I'll wait until tonight.

Shouldn't Friday Night Lights be on TV on Friday Nights? I mean I'm no marketing whiz, but I did hookup with one at a Holiday Inn Express.

Good point. But I'm guessing their target audience would all be at football games on Friday nights.
