Freelance writer needed to cover an unusual beat: collegiate bass fishing. Our new web site, Earthsports.com, is looking for someone who can produce short, weekly articles about college bassing - which is one of the fastest-growing college sports around, with over 150 registered schools. We want someone young & hip; fresh out of school is fine, as long as you can write fresh, interesting articles. Pay is pretty decent for web-work and we don't expect you to travel to events, articles can be focused on tournament results, interviews with participants, etc. A basic knowledge of freshwater fishing is good, and a passion for fishing is even better. As far as we can tell this is a niche that is unoccupied to date, so this is an opportunity to establish yourself as the go-to guy for a one-of-a-kind beat. If you're interested shoot me an e-mail that tells me why you're the guy (or gal!) at lenny.rudow@earthsports.com.
