    VarsitySportsNetwork is coming this August!

We are seeking freelance writers for our new high school sports web site launching in Baltimore in August of 2010. We are seeking writers skilled in providing game coverage and writing feature stories. We were looking for individuals skilled in all sports, as we will be covering everything from football to badminton throughout the Baltimore Metro area. Individuals with the skill to submit photos and video with their stories are even more valuable to us. Whether you seek regular weekly work or would just like to write a weekly tennis notebook, we are interested in hearing from you.

Please forward your resume and writing samples to careers@varsitysportsnetwork.com to receive consideration.

Will/when coverage expand past the Baltimore area? Possibly nationwide?

VSN .... at first blush, this looks like a redo of Coach's Aid, which burned a lot of guys on this board ... how are you guys any different, and what can you show to back that up? ... D

Nothing like Coach's Aid. This is local to Baltimore for now. I ran the Baltimore content for DigitalSports and currently run MIAASports.net. This will start with only a handful of full-timers. Everyone else will receive an honest day's pay for an honest day's assignment. As we grow, more full-time staff will be added.
