So THAT'S why --- five years after 9/11 --- only 5 percent of international cargo is actually, you know, inspected.

And THAT'S why --- five years after 9/11 --- any Tom, Dick or Mohammad can just come waltzing across the border.

  2. 6 weeks has 42 days

    6 months has 182.5 days

    182.5/42 = 4.35

Multiply your 6 weeks by a factor of 4 and you get roughly 6 months.

    Anything else you'd like explained?

Thought you were using the 4 factor to explain Rummy's error. A reasonable conclusion, since that's what we were talking about.

For what, exactly, I don't want to know. It does make these threads about twenty feet longer, though.

Freedom is on the march. Where to? Nobody really knows, but it is certainly marching somewhere.

  8. It's pretty much marching out of town, I'd say.

For those of us who remember COINTELPRO, this is a pretty scary story.
For those of us who believe that Time Began on September (The) 11th, 2001, probably not.
