    This too. How long-winded some of these groups get is unbelievable. First job out of college, someone from a gymnastics club dropped off a two-page release that detailed the history and benefits of the sport, and the nut graf - open house at Podunk Gymnastics Club Saturday - was the last graf.

    Don't like this at all.

    If you're a coach running a for-profit camp, buy an ad.

    We run ours at the end of the agate page....if space permits.

    Unless of course, our "TV sister station" needs to advertise something...then it magically becomes a brief on page 2.

    Given the diminishing size of sections, the worst thing you can do, IMO, is just run the same stuff over and over again. Have been at a paper that does that and also at a few that will rotate items and use the space efficiently.
