Free speech? Not with the "Rally Squads" around

  1. The "First Amendment zone" bullshit started befiore 9/11. It started during the inaugural, as a matter of fact. The notion that this president hasn't been coddled from Day One to avoid anything but the most adoring crowds is so distant from the truth as to be laughable.

Sigh...let me know if anyone actually has their rights violated. Certainly no one on this board.

Perhaps you'd like to be violated?

Hey, Hondo, how about these two:

The lawsuit was filed by Jeffery and Nicole Rank, who attended the Charleston event wearing shirts with the word "Bush" crossed out on the front; the back of his shirt said "Regime Change Starts at Home," while hers said "Love America, Hate Bush."

Members of the White House event staff told them to cover their shirts or leave, according to the lawsuit. They refused and were arrested, handcuffed and briefly jailed before local authorities dropped the charges and apologized.

Or is that OK with you?

But, hey, maybe they were Muslims.

    Doofus.

    This isn't Canada, socialite.
Americans don't have the right to criticize the president.
I think it was in a recent signing statement or something.

Hey, I'm a socialist. Get it straight.

Reminds of the late great PM Pierre Trudeau.

Some dork accused him of being a communist.

    His reply?

    "I'm a canoeist".

    Which he was.

Paddled canoes all over northern Canada.
