    From El Pipeline:

Freep offering buyouts in the usual fashion: Everyone over 50 with at least 10 years of service. Two weeks a year up to a year, medical the same.
Looking for about 110 volunteers company-wide.

How does that 110 number relate to their entire workforce, company-wide?

according to romenesko, who posted the memo, the freep will lose about 5% of the newsroom staff.

Welcome to life under Gannett, Freep.

That said, the Freep's newsroom might be bigger than most.

I'm guessing the Detroit News can't be far behind.

    You are correct, sir!

Just posted on Romenesko... they are targeting 16 Freep and six News employees in the newsroom (no names, of course, just a target).
