No porn. I know nobody here would be interested, but what do you think of this idea?

I like it. But I'm sure some tinfoil hatters will think this is a way for Big Brother to read their thoughts or something.

Of course, I'm also the guy who's unlocked his WiFi so his neighbors can use it. Right now, there are three people piggybacking my Internet.

If they piggyback, does it make it easier to hack your computer?

If one of them is targeted by the RIAA or by cops investigating kiddie porn, you're going under the microscope because it's your wireless access point.

Not if he's running a secure system with a good firewall.

    Dumb question.

Does this mean we'd have WiFi access everywhere?

BTW, free citywide Wi-fi efforts have failed in Philly, San Francisco, Chicago, Houston, and pretty much every other place they've been tried. Good luck getting a nationwide system going.

I steal wireless from the neighbors when I visit my mom, so thank you! Mom's in the dark ages of dial-up still and if I try to use her connection, I lose my mind.
