    It's not wasted time, F_H.
Enough people made noise, they are staying away.
    Mission accomplished.

But they still got their publicity -- their 15 minutes of fame. My guess is they never had any intention on coming, but they knew they'd generate attention by just saying they would. The media bit and they bit hard on this.

Fred Phelps and his gang are terrorists, and in this instance, the terrorists -- not the city of Bardstown and definitely not the family -- won.

I disagree with you on one point: I don't think you can say on this one that any publicity is good publicity.
Anytime they are spoken of (here and elsewhere), I have yet to hear one person say along the lines that they are speaking for their beliefs and should be treated as such. All I hear is, they are nuts, they are scum, they need to be squelched. And it's correct.

See, that's the narrow, and I say more bigoted, attitude that says anyone who speaks out against gay-anything is lumped directly with a man who - though has the freedom of speech that was pointed out by Headbutt - takes this to an delusional extreme. His is a church made up of basically his blood kin, and most of it is likely inbred. That does not, however, link him to every American who opposes gay marriage and who doesn't want this preached on every street corner.

To say what this man does links him to every conservative Christian is far without merit and as big an example of stereotyping as to say if you are black, you must have grown up without a dad.

Yawn, we don't hate him because he speaks out against gays.
It's that he ties gays to the sky being blue. Everything on this planet is wrong because of gays, according to the glue-sniffer.
I will guarantee we will find out he's had a cock in his mouth or his ass at some point.

Or, for instance, comparing a Democratic contender for the presidency to Che Guevara?

Is that the bigoted stereotypin to which you are referring?

You know, pud, in many parts of your party - and Cuba - Che is heralded as a hero. For reasons, I say, is much like why your people love the female reincarnation of him.

So, no, that's not a stereotype. It's REINCARNATION.

Last time I checked, no-one in recent memory has invoked the image of Che, or even spoken about him.

And I don't honestly see how Hillary's small leanings to the left equate with the Socialist overthrow of the ruling government. To me, she's pretty middle of the road.

And to people like you, Phelps is a hero.

    Right?

    Oh, absolutely.

You're stupid enough to believe that, so what the hell?

Just heard a radio report. A Louisville radio station offered Westboro a radio interview in exchange for not showing up.

All I know is it's a Radio One station, not sure which one, but I know it's one I won't listen to anymore.
