Frampton Comes Alive! is the worst recorded music ever.

Me too. And I was 4! And this is the third time today -- and third time in 30 years -- I've seen reference to this song, thanks to the mostly scathing "Jersey Boys" reviews.

Frampton was fine for that era.
But Air Supply was a fucking nightmare.

Also, disco. Disco embarrassed this fine nation.

I got drunk one night and actually bought the Time/Life Best of the 70s set you see advertised from time to time - I like the variety, even enjoy some of the one-hit wonders and appreciated the diversity of Top 40 - but damn some crap snuck in.

#93 - three spots ahead of "Disco Duck" by Rick Dees - yes THAT rick dees.

Frampton was what it was ... an album that captured the live dynamic. It wasn't musical greatness, but it did come closer than most albums of making you feel like you were there.

Don't go ripping on Air Supply or disco.

"Silk Degrees" more than makes up for all the schlock released in 1976; 38 years later and it's still great, great music.

    I like disco, dude.
I dated a hot chick about 10 years ago who got me into it.
We took disco-dancing lessons at Arthur Murray.
I would have done anything to get in her pants.

Makes Frampton sound like Van Morrison.

I still have my 45 of "Saturday Night" which was the first record I ever bought.

I can't find the clip, but it reminds me of a scene from "Family Guy" when Peter did something to offend an old lady.

    Old lady: You're a monster.

Peter: You know what was a monster? "Frampton Comes Alive." Did you know anybody who didn't have that album?
