Funny, because the princess asked me tonight if I ever had to go through something like that.

Never. Through high school and college, never had parents go off on the coaches I had.

The parent who got in the club coach's face and then later waited for him in the parking lot? His daughter has not come out of a game yet.

The queen just called to say that the guy's wife called to apologize. I wasn't impressed.

Write it. And when they bitch about not expecting you to write about there game, you can tell them that you didn't expect they'd act like fucking entitled whinyass ass clowns

You see the best and the worst of youth parents at games like this.

Take it from a rookie baseball umpire.

Some people should be banned from ever coaching youth sports. Or watching their kids play youth sports.

When I played T-Ball, two parents from the other team decided getting into fisticuffs in the stands was a good idea. My mom simply grabbed me from the bench and we started walking home.

So basically, youth sports went to shit sometime before 1992 or '93.

Always wanted to umpire baseball/softball. But in many ways, I'm glad I never did.

Don't write about it! As much as you love and trust your wife and daughter, you weren't there. It's only a third-hand account.

Plus you're only going to come off as a ranting, pissed-off parent, which is never good for anyone.

I'd only write about it if I were there and watched it happen. Especially if I had tried and failed to calm the fucker down.

Besides, "youth parents suck" columns are probably all too commonplace these days.

I have to admit that when I first saw this thread title I thought some no-name named Fracas shot a 10-under in the first round of the U.S. Open. It helps to read more than just the first few words.
