FOXSports: Altman backs out of Arkansas job

Anyone here feel, despite it being a MVC school and Arkansas being in the SEC, that Creighton actually is a BETTER job?

Full diclosure: I graduated from an MVC school ... not Creighton.

 

Neither can Jim Harrick nor Glen Mason.

 

Or Dan Dakich or Rich Rodrigues.

 

I don't know if anyone has a better arena than Arkansas (though Creighton's is nice). And you'd be taking over a team locked and loaded for a run at the overall SEC title, talent-wise. And Fayeteville is a better town that most think it is.

 

If they hadn't fired a perfectly good coach in the first place, they wouldn't be in this situation.

How does he make it to his Dec. 31 retirement after this?
