    Seattle, but the point remains.

Honestly, has Clayton ever broken ANYTHING?! I've always been flabbergasted at his rep. The only thing he breaks is wind. Everyone else there kicks his ass six ways to Sunday.

Jets have confirmed the deal...without giving details

You can expect to hear more about Favre in Gotham than any of the pennant races for the next three or four days.

A modest suggestion -- look for the button that says "POWER" on it, and depress.

    Just Say No.

On "SportsCenter," Neil Everett just quoted that Semisonic song "Closing Time" ("Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end") as an intro to asking Mortenson to reflect on how tough a story this has been for him to cover.

Maybe the worst moment in ESPN history ... and that's saying a lot.

Via radio today, he said he was visiting San Diego camp. Hence the reference.

I was just shocked to hear those words come out of mouth. And he repeated it, three times or something, he thought himself so clever.

What New York teams are involved in any pennant races? Yanks and Mets are both d-u-n done.

Oh gag, Sportscenter guy asking Mort 'how hard has it been to cover this story.' Gosh, maybe if they hadn't reported BREAKING NEWS every time Brett brushed his teeth this week, it wouldn't have been so painful.

Interesting that SI (home of Brett Boy, Peter King) has almost nothing, other than PK's prediction that this would go on into Thursday or longer.
